Glasgow University Paediatrics Society

Teddy Bear Hospital Glasgow is a group of medical, dental and nursing students from the University of Glasgow. It is a Public Health campaign targeted at 3-7 year old children to relieve any fears and anxieties about health care professionals. We mainly visit schools and Rainbow/Boys Brigade (etc) groups. We have develop a series of workshops to help achieve our goals and have consulted with local Education Services to ensure we are covering key aspects of the Curriculum for Excellence. 

Our project aims to:

• Reduce fears and anxieties that children may have about health care professionals

• Improve students communication skills with children

• Give children a medical insight

• Allow students to learn about paediatrics

• Have fun!!!!
